La Herradura in Artesia

It takes to long to get served. Then they put each plate in microwave. Then some at your table get their plate and some have to wait for their plate and if you wait for every one to get served your food is cold

Ashame we live hear and ppl make homaid food... to sell in the ghetto

I love it friendly service and great authentic Mexican food

The service here is absolutely ridiculous. After being seated it took 10 minutes to receive a menu. After receiving my chips and queso I was told my guac would be out soon. It has been 20 minutes, still no guac. I would not go here if you want to be treated like a valued customer.

This is probably the best Mexican food I've ever eaten. And it's a super clean and friendly environment! We love to eat here when driving through artesia. Wish it wasn't set so out of the way but that doesn't phase us!

A family member took us to this spot as we were visiting from Denver. Seriously some of the most delicious tacos I’ve ever had. Even the rice and beans had good flavor. Would love to come back here again!

My husband and I ate here for the first time yesterday and we were impressed and satisfied with our meals! I forgot to take a pic of my food which was a delicious Barbocoa Torta and his is the burrito supreme which was a foot long!!! Yup a foot long! And best believe he ate it all but maybe one bite. As for the restaurant itself, it was clean and comfortable. The staff is wonderful! The food is fresh and cooked in an expedient manner. We also got a Green Chile Queso Blanco dip with chips for the starter and it was delicious!!!! We will definitely be returning customers, as a matter of a fact we are having dinner there tonight since tonight it is our last night in Artesia.

Some of the tastiest and freshest tacos you will EVER have, anywhere. Get the taco plate with the extra taco, pass on the so-so beans & rice, cuz those tacos, wow!

Chips from a bag, no chips and salsa unless you pay for it. No soft drink refills. No music. No margaritas, or any alcoholic beverages for that matter. If your from Texas, this is NOT your mexican restaurant. Absolutely no atmosphere. The only way the beans could have been fresher is if they were still in the can.

Food was excellent except the chilies rellenos had to much better. The bathrooms need to be updated or cleaned more often

If you like real Mexican food and spice's, then this is the place to go. Food is tasteful, place is well cleaned and staff is good. If you like can or blend food, I suggest you go elsewhere.......

I'm going to say it...These are THE BEST 🌮🌮🌮 tacos in all of New Mexico. It's worth a trip to Artesia, just to taste the deliciousness served up at this hidden, humble gem. The taco shells are handmade, with that perfect crispness between crispy and soft. The meats (of your choosing) are perfectly flavored, topped off with lettuce, tamato, onion and cilantro. These tacos are simple, but perfectly prepared and having lived in New Mexico most of my life, I haven't had any better.

The outer appearance will make you turn around! The inside is nice and the food was great! Get the green enchiladas! The salsa needs a little work. Chips are not homemade. It's authentic!

Food was tasteless, no flavor whatsoever, noticed a lot of food being microwaved and not friendly waitress at all, table was dirty asked if she could clean and she got an attitude? I guess no good tip for her and we didn't. Try El Dorado restaurant down main street if you want good food and friendly service....

The one item that was good was the taco. Beef, onions, cilantro and salsa. The enchilada, chile relleno, rice and refried beans were very bland, everything was placed on a plate and nuked. Not very home made. The waitress was very busy with the phone, not a very good impression when you sit down.

First time I tried it and the food was great. Service was good and food didn't take long to come out.

Best Mexican food I've had!! Please please please order the Queso Blanco to start. The stuffed chilie rellenos are my favorite. However, the tacos and enchiladas are great too! It's a family friendly environment with big booths and tables.

***stay away from here***I ordered their so called thin fried steak, it was 15% meat and 85% fat and bone. When I asked if it is supposed to be like that, they said no and still charged me for the food. The waitress never even stopped by to see if I needed anything. The pictures clearly show what I'm referring to.

This food was so good it made me want to cry. We spent 5 nights in Santa Fe, eating all sorts of great food, but none of it reached these delicious heights. The tacos are an absolute must, with crispy flour shells, freshly fried and a little puffy, and perfectly seasoned meat inside. Chiles rellenos and enchiladas with red sauce were close runners up. If I ever make it back to this town, La Herradura will be my first stop.

Came in because of the high reviews. Nope should have known better when place was empty. Walk away, this place is in the ghetto, looks weird and food was horrible. Had me some cold red paint Chilaquiles. Cold coffee. I wouldn't recommend this place. Next!

Man this place is hidden I only found it from talking to the locals but it’s worth it although it feels like your walking into someone’s house cause it’s located in a neighborhood but wow the food was awesome and a egg on enchiladas a first for me but be careful things can be an unexpected spicy but it is an awesome Mexican food restaurant

Eeeeeeee...wheeeeee...laaaa......!!!!!!This place was fantastic....!!!!Plenty of parking.....plenty of food on my plate.....and fast and friendly service. My asado plate was great.....authentic and very satisfying......!!!It was so good......!!! Just like when you go to a traditional mexican wedding....the meal you expect to have at the wedding reception....!!! The asado was that good....the beans and rice were perfect.....It was so good that I kept expecting a huge wedding party to show up with the bride and groom leading the formal entrance and a mariachi band playing la marcha.....!!!I will definetly be back.....very soon....!!!!Ahhhhhh.... Hooooooo.....Yaaaaaaa....!!!!!

Truly homestyle food. Food was delicious and cheap prices. Tastes just like true mexican food. Service could be a little better but overall good.

We stop in to get plates to go i ordered the burrito supreme my wife wanted the combination plate..we drove from artesia to roswell got home and sat down to eat food was still warm my wife is a very picky person she loved the chips and salsa and her combination plate i definitely enjoyed my burrito supreme we will be back next time we will eat in. Also i over heard another guest talking about the red enchiladas and how good they were .....ig we will see when we return great hospitality good portions and amazing food thank you
